Sunday 1st July
Every July we preview two shows which are heading to the Edinburgh Fringe. Although these are works in progress this gives you two, full length shows from two of the very best comedians working today.
Gary Delaney: Gagster’s Paradise
One of Britain’s leading one-liner comics returns with another onslaught of lean, expertly crafted gaggery. A Mock the Week regular and recent star of Live at the Apollo, Gary’s shows are known for an unrivalled volume of high-class gags. Not for people who get offended by jokes. Please note: Coolio will not be appearing.
‘More quality jokes in one hour than most comics have in their entire careers.’ The Scotsman ‘A cavalcade of brilliantly inventive puns’ The Guardian
Glenn Wool: Wool’s Gold II (The Iron Pirate)
Comfortably in his forties, award-winning comedian and new dad Wool delves into his back catalogue of material spanning 25 years to perform some of his more subversive routines. Does he still agree with those points of view or has he finally grown up? Plus a little navel gazing tossed in for the arty-farty types because it’s a Fringe preview.
‘Effortlessly funny…you have to go and see Glenn Wool.’ The Guardian
‘Why aren’t you in a queue somewhere buying a ticket?’ The Scotsman
